The iris garden with Grandma Helen

This week Oliver and I drove down to Woodburn to meet Grandma Helen at Schriener's Iris Gardens.

They have a giant teddy bear that was sitting in the shade admiring the flowers, so we spent some time admiring the teddy bear.

Grandma Helen teaching Oliver about the different parts of the flower, not the first and certainly not the last of the horticulture lessons he will receive from Grandma Helen I am sure.

Also having lessons in photography.

"Lets get a picture of Oliver and Grandma on this cool orange bench!"

"Oh wait there is more stuff over there!"

"Well the bench itself is very picturesque I suppose."

The Portland Children's Museum

After Oliver's Birthday weekend his Grandma Lynda and Grandpa Dick stayed in Oregon for an extra week so we all headed up to the Children's Museum.
Here is Oliver playing in the water room with Grandma Lynda. This was his favorite place, we visited it four different times on this trip to the museum.

Feeding a baby in a high chair.

Driving a bus.

Figuring out the latches and switches in the construction room.

A giant xylophone, AWESOME!

Oliver's Birthday Weekend

So in April Oliver turned 2 and his Mama got her Bachelor's degree.

And we're back!

At long last I am getting back to the blog. It has been a about a year and a half since I have posted anything here and as you might imagine we live a whole different life now. The last post included pictures of an Oliver without much hair and his main mode of transportation was rolling. Now he desperately needs a haircut (he has had a few already) and is running and learning to jump.
Oliver now has preferences and opinions and says "No!" to most things unless it involves blueberries or going outside.
Nick still loves his job and is a pretty awesome Papa.
I am on the verge of finishing school. My last day of class is Monday and I will have completed my long sought after Bachelor's degree.
Please enjoy the photos, I will update weekly if not more often.
Much love to you all from Team Safford Lukens!

Here are few pictures from the last month
